Reading Goals for 2020

By Hannah

This year I have set quite a few reading goals for myself. I have had a rough start to the beginning of the year, but I am hoping to catch up and still meet all of these goals.

Book Count Reading Goal

I would like to complete 72 books this year. This means 6 books a month, just over my last goal of one a week. I am really hoping to be able to read 100 books this year, but that is quite a jump for me, reading about 2 books a week. You can check on how I’m doing on my Goodreads Profile.

Blog Regularly

I would like to get into a set schedule with blogging and recording my reading as well as starting to write reviews for books that I read.

Challenges

I love the challenge style videos that Books and Lala has done in the past and would like to come up with some of my own challenge style tbr’s. My goal would be to complete one of these every other month. This means that if a challenge requires 6 books, half of the books I read during those months should be for the challenge.

Library Goals

To reach my library goal, I would like to start using my library more regularly. To start, I would like to set a goal of reading at least 2 books a month from my library. This could be physical books, ebooks, or audiobooks.

Expand My Genres

There are some genres that I have been trying to get more into lately but have been putting off. This year I would really like to focus on getting more into adult fantasy. To achieve this I would like to start at least 5 fantasy series, focusing on a few of the popular series.

Continue Series

There are lots of series that I have started that I have not continued, but have an interest to continue. I would like to put a focus on continuing some of these series this year.

Readathon Goals

I really enjoy readathons and would like to participate in at least 6 this year. Now that I am out of school, it should give me more time to complete readathons.

Well, that’s it! Wish me luck. What are your reading goals for the year? Have you made any progress?
